About
Hi, I'm Mehman Ismayilov. I'm a backend engineer working on distributed systems. I spend most of my time thinking about service boundaries, consistency, and what happens when a small failure somewhere quietly turns into a large one everywhere.
My focus is on the architectural side of backend work: distributed systems design, event-driven architectures, high-availability and fault tolerance, data consistency tradeoffs, observability, and performance at scale. I care less about which framework is fashionable this year and more about the kind of decision you regret two years later.
This site is where I put things I learn that feel worth writing down. If something here is useful, wrong, or worth a longer conversation, you can find me on LinkedIn.
Opinions here are my own.
